Dear Daughter,

Dear Daughter

Today, you turn four years old. Four years ago, you came into this world and completely rocked mine. You caught me off guard, and completely changed my life for the better. You are the little girl who made me a mom.

Dear Daughter

As your mom, I will always tell you that you are beautiful, but I will also always praise your intelligence, bravery, imagination, creativity, and sense of humor, and attempt to teach you that those are more important, and to use them for good.

Dear Daughter

I will support you in all of your decisions, but I will not spare you the consequences of those decisions, because that is how we learn. I will always be here for you, though, whenever things go wrong or you get hurt. I want you to know that you can come to me, always.

Dear Daughter

I will teach you that it's okay to make messes as long as you create something out of it.

Dear Daughter

You amaze me every day with your imagination and creativity, the games you come up with, the new words you learn (or invent as placemarkers until you learn the real word for what you mean).

Dear Daughter

You make me proud to be your mommy, and I am honored to hold such a title. Even though you are a big girl now, you will always be my baby, my heart. You are the best loin fruit I could have asked for.

Love you always,

Mommy
