Here's a look at some new clothes I bought last month! It feels so good to finally be able to wear them now that I've put that 30x30 nonsense behind me. Seriously, those were my favorite pieces and I got sick of them quick. It's refreshing to just be able to wear what I want, instead of what I "have to." I know it was self-inflicted, but still. Anyway. Moving on.
This is my third pair of non-denim-colored jeans. (The other two are the infamous grey and blue ones.) I LOVE them. The black is so chic, but they're still just skinny jeans and go with every top I own. Also, these boots might be my favorite pair ever. They're so cool and laid back, and they look amazing with every pair of pants I own. The buttons are the best little detail. I highly recommend them, especially for us gals whose calves are more than 15" around. I call them my pirate boots, because, well... they remind me of boots that pirates wear. :)
very cute! I am looking for some black skinnies. I used to like Old Navy jeans, but I think I tried on every single style/size combination this year and nothing fit properly!

That scarf and sweater combo looks really cozy, and the colors look great on you! My black skinnies are oh....5 years old now...they don't look so black anymore! :P

ReplyDeleteIt's funny, I used to shop for boots in stores, so I didn't pay attention to the circumference of the calf. It either fit or it didn't. Since starting to shop for boots online, I noticed that the "standard" seems to be 15", and on JustFab I have to order the the "wide calf", which is 16-18" depending on the style. Like... how is that "wide calf?" Anyway, my calves are 16", but I want to be able to wear my boots over jeans, of course, so I try to find boots that are more than 16" around. It's harder than it should be!

ReplyDeleteThanks! Bummer that Old Navy jeans don't fit you. The only style from them that fit me is the sweetheart style, and they don't come in as many fun colors as the other cuts, which makes me sad. :( I hope you find some good black skinnies soon!
