As you know, my family (husband, daugther, mom and I) went to Disneyland this past weekend, from Friday to Tuesday. Today I want to share with you some photos from our experience. I tried to keep it to a minimum, but this is still a verrry picture heavy post, so feel free to continue reading after the cut if you wish.
First day at Disneyland! Obligatory picture in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
Meeting Cinderella...
And Ariel. She had NO IDEA what to do with herself meeting all the princesses. She was all giggles. (It was the coolest thing ever.)
We also saw Belle in a theatrical version of Beauty and the Beast.
And met Mickey (a la Sorcerer's Apprentice, of course).
And visited the Iron Man Hall of Suits (my kid is cool and likes both princesses and superheroes).
We rode the Buzz ride (I forget the name of it now) twice...
And the teacups three times (this one was her favorite).
We watched a parade (the pure joy on her face at seeing all of her favorite Disney characters in one place was enough to bring tears to this mama's eyes). And that was just day 1!
On day 2...
We met Pluto...
Jake (from Jake and the Neverland Pirates)...
Woody...
and Jessie...
Donald...
Snow White...
And Aurora...
Tigger...
Eeyore...And Pooh.
There was a Mary Poppins sighting...
immediately followed by a Fairy Godmother sighting.
We bought souvenir hats (J isn't very cooperative when it comes to pictures sometimes).
We rode more rides.
And in general, just had an abso-freaking-lutely good time. This was our first official family vacation and I must say, we set the bar pretty high for future ones. E was completely in awe the entire time we were there, and it helped us remember a little bit of our childhood awe as well.
Thanks for the memories, Disneyland. You haven't seen the last of us.
